2017 Summer Sports Camps

Join head coach Justin Hilling and McAuley players in our air-conditioned gym for individual instruction in serving, passing, spiking, setting, offense, defense and game experience. Bring your own water bottle. Prizes and T-shirts will be given.
Session I - June 19 - 22, 9:30 a.m. – Noon, $65, Incoming 2nd - 4th graders
Session II - June 19 - 22, 1 - 4 p.m., $65, Incoming 5th & 6th graders
Session III - June 19 - 22, 5 - 8 p.m., $65, Incoming 5th - 8th graders
Head Varsity Coach Dan Wallace and assistant coaches will conduct camps in our air-conditioned gym. Staff and McAuley players will give individual evaluation of skills and training in dribbling, rebounding, offense, defense, free throws, shooting, ball handling and game experience. A camp T-shirt will be given. Bring your own water bottle and T-shirts (white & dark).
Session I - June 26 - 29, 9 a.m. - Noon, $65, Incoming 5th - 8th graders

Join Head coach Kristen Wanstrath, assistant coaches and our Mohawk soccer players for this soccer camp at McAuley. Campers will receive technical training focusing on dribbling, passing, shooting and more, with basic individual and team tactics worked in. Please bring your own soccer ball, cleats, shin guards and plenty of water. In case of rain delays or cancellations, please provide a good phone number on the registration form where you can be reached. Session I - June 19 - 22, 6 -8 p.m., $65, Incoming 5th - 9th graders
Join Head Coach Sarah Lohbeck, staff and players for an instructional lacrosse camp at McAuley. Players of all levels of experience are invited; NO experience is necessary. Each camper will be introduced to the game, the rules, and basic playing strategies. Individual instruction in passing, catching, cradling and other technical training will be given. Sticks, water bottle, and a standard mouth guard are required—a few sticks will be available for campers to borrow. A camp T-shirt will be given. Please bring your own water bottle. The camp will be held at McAuley on the back field.
Session I - June 26 - 29, 6 - 8 p.m., $65, Incoming 5th - 8th graders

Incoming fifth through ninth graders are welcome to join the coaching staff and players for our summer tennis camp. Instruction will be given as needed focusing on the level of the camper. Skills, grip, rules and strategy will be taught, along with other technical training. The camp will be held at LaSalle High School tennis courts (behind the football stadium). A camp T-shirt will be given. Bring your own water bottle and tennis racket.
Session I - June 19 - 22, 9 – 11 a.m., $65, Incoming 5th - 9th graders
Fifth through eighth graders are invited to join the coaches and McAuley Mohawk runners as they train throughout the summer. Conditioning will start Monday, June 5, 8:30-9:15 a.m. at McAuley High School. Meet Coach Ron Russo under the canopy at the front of McAuley. You can come as much as you like. Please bring a full water bottle to each conditioning session. Come join the fun! NO FEE.
Incoming 9th graders are invited to join head coaches Ernie Petri and John Gaughan, staff and returning players during the summer starting Sunday, June 4 and ending Sunday, July 30. A detailed schedule will be given at the incoming freshman athletic meeting on Tuesday, April 25, at 7 p.m. No registration is necessary. Come when you can, and no experience is necessary. Campers will spend the week with current McAuley dance team members to learn various dance techniques and routines. In addition to dancing, campers will also have fun doing crafts and playing games. A snack will be provided each day. No dance experience is necessary. Older campers that have some dance experience will have the opportunity to choreograph and teach their own routines. The week will end with a performance on Friday at 11:30 a.m. for all campers to show off what they have learned throughout the week.
