Career Information

Here are a few websites to help students get a jump start on careers!

My Next Move This website has an O*NET Interest Profiler that can help you find out what your interests are and how they relate to the world of work.

My Majors This site helps students in finding a major or determining if the major you have chosen already is right for you. It lists career options for each major and has a link to the Bureau of Labor Statistics so students can see if particular occupations will be over/understaffed over a 10-year period.

Occupational Outlook Handbook This website is an excellent starting place to search for employment information on specific careers; information is supplied by the federal government.

OCIS (Ohio Career Information Service) This site provides a wealth of information on Ohio careers, including career tests to narrow a student's search. ID: mcauley   Password: ohiocis03

Career Information Test   Designed to help match interests and skills with similar careers, this site can help a student begin thinking about how her personality and skills will fit with specific careers.

Career Options by Academic Major This site is sponsored by Florida State University and shows students the link between majors and careers.
