Mercy McAuley Tuition, Financial Aid & Scholarships

We appreciate the sacrifices that each of our families make to acquire a Catholic education in the Sisters of Mercy tradition. Tuition for the 2018-19 school year is $11,275 plus a Tablet PC fee which will be a base of $450 for incoming freshmen. Mercy McAuley awards academic and Catherine McAuley scholarships and as much financial assistance as our funds allow. We also offer a student work program which may help provide additional resource for families.

Financial Resources Include:

High School Placement Test (HSPT) Scholarships
Mercy McAuley bases all academic scholarship awards on High School Placement Test scores. Scholarships vary based on HSPT score results. Scholarship recipients and parents are also invited to attend a special dinner in January to recognize their achievement. Scholarship announcements will be made in coordination with acceptance letters in mid-January.

Catherine McAuley Excellence Scholarships
Mercy McAuley awards Excellence Scholarships to incoming freshman students who submit specific applications for Excellence awards. These awards recognize excellence in Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Creative Writing, Math, Science or Social Studies projects. Click HERE for instructions and deadlines for submitting applications for all Excellence Scholarship awards.

Sisters of Mercy Legacy Scholarships
These one-time awards of $500 are available to incoming freshmen who come from families where either the student’s mother or student’s grandmother have been prior graduates of a Sisters of Mercy high school. Information regarding legacy alumnae is to be provided on the admissions application.

Ohio EdChoice Scholarships
Some students are eligible for the Ohio EdChoice Scholarships based on the rating of designated public schools, districts and other factors. To determine eligibility, visit the EdChoice website or for more information, refer to the Ohio Department of Education.

Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program
The Jon Peterson Special Needs (JPSN) Scholarship Program provides scholarships to students who have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) from their district. Amounts vary based on the primary disability condition identified on the IEP. More information can be found HERE. Contact the school administration if you have questions or about use of the program at Mercy McAuley High School.

Apply for Tuition Assistance

Financial assistance is available through the Circle of Mercy Education Aid Fund. Families who wish to apply for Mercy McAuley financial assistance must complete and submit a FACTS financial aid application. There is a one-time, non-refundable fee of $28 to submit the FACTS application. FACTS is an independent service used throughout the Archdiocese of Cincinnati to determine financial need. Mercy McAuley will use the FACTS form as the basis for distributing assistance. Visit the FACTS site for details and to apply for financial assistance.

Multiple Child Allowance
A multiple child allowance is granted for families with at least three students in Archdiocesan high schools. Application is made through the tuition payment plan worksheet which is mailed to families in March and due to Mercy McAuley by the end of April.

Work Credit Program
Mercy McAuley also offers an after-school work credit program. The administration of this program complies with the Department of Labor regulations. All monies earned by the student must be processed through Mercy McAuley's payroll. Students will be paid the State of Ohio prevailing minimum wage (currently $8.15/hour). Families must have completed the FACTS Financial Aid application to be eligible for this program.
