On November 8, McAuley Senior Hallie Heidemann signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Ashland University in Ashland Ohio. Hallie has received numerous awards during her sophomore and junior years at McAuley, including 1st Team All-GGCL, 2nd Team All-District and Honorable Mention All-City. During her junior year, she was also named High School Female Athlete of the Year by the Cincinnati Enquirer. Hallie plans to study psychology at Ashland, and she hopes to have a career in sports psychology.
According to McAuley Varsity Basketball Head Coach Dan Wallace, "Hallie is a tremendous all-around player with a very high basketball IQ. She is a consistent shooter from 3-point with a quick release, which allows her to really put pressure on the defense. She is a great rebounder for her size and position and averages at least 1-2 charges taken every game. Hallie is a great student, and is a leader by example through her tremendous work ethic and high morals. She is one of the most caring young women I have ever coached, and she's a great teammate to have in the locker room."
Congratulations to Hallie and her family!
