Mercy McAuley Shadow Days
*2017 Shadow Days are now complete; however, if you would like to schedule a Shadow Day at McAuley or Mother of Mercy, please submit the form below and indicate what school you'd like to shadow at and any date preferences you may have.
Mercy McAuley High School, a brand new all-girls Catholic High School sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, will open at 6000 Oakwood Avenue (the site of the current McAuley High School) in College Hill in the Fall of 2018. The new school will bring together the very best of two already outstanding and well-known schools – McAuley and Mother of Mercy.
Eighth grade girls have an incredible opportunity to get a glimpse of what this exciting new school will be like by shadowing a current student. Shadow Days are available at both McAuley and Mother of Mercy. Shadowing at both schools is not required.
Why shadow at both schools?
Shadowing at McAuley will provide 8th graders with an overview of the actual building where the new school will be housed, as well as its beautiful campus. Students who shadow at McAuley will also experience what it will be like to “navigate the halls” of what will become Mercy McAuley High School. They will also eat lunch in the future Mercy McAuley cafeteria, and meet McAuley students and faculty/staff members. Shadowing at Mother of Mercy will give 8th graders the opportunity to meet Mother of Mercy students and current faculty/staff members. Therefore, shadowing at both schools provides 8th graders with a very well-rounded experience of both schools’ students, faculty/staff, and cultures – all of which will come together to form the new Mercy McAuley High School.

Parent Coffee Meetings
On the Shadow Day, parents of the 8th grade students who are shadowing that day are invited (but not required) to attend a 30-minute informal session with the school’s current principals and associate principals - Dan Minelli & Connie Kampschmidt (McAuley) and Dave Mueller and Heather Wagner (Mother of Mercy) from 7:45 - 8:15 a.m. This session provides 8th grade parents with an opportunity to meet and talk with school leaders, and ask any questions. Light refreshments will be served. Parents who wish to attend this session are asked to RSVP on the form below when registering their daughter for her Shadow Day.
