McAuley High School

Admissions Process

Welcome to McAuley High School! At McAuley, we guide young women on their educational, professional and spiritual journeys. The most exciting thing to witness is the balance of the traditional mission and values with the total embrace of technology and academic advancement. Take a look at our Viewbook to see what we mean.

Interested in McAuley? - There are many opportunities to learn more about McAuley. Our step-by-step admissions process includes everything from scheduling a Future Mohawk Shadow Day, to attending Open House and other events, to taking the High School Placement Test, to submitting an application and records release. (The records release is included in the online application.) Letters of recommendation are NOT needed as part of the application. All admissions applications are reviewed by the Principal and Director of Admissions to determine whether McAuley High School is a good fit for your daughter. McAuley is open to admitting any student, provided we can meet her individual academic needs. Admission is based on a student's current grades, past grades and standardized test scores, and High School Placement Test results.

Eighth grade students who are accepted to McAuley are notified of their acceptance in January. Incoming freshmen or transfer students who apply to McAuley outside of the traditional application timeline should expect an admission process of about three to four weeks.

Ed Choice Voucher - The state of Ohio has strict deadlines for the Ed Choice voucher applications. If you wish to apply for the Ed Choice voucher, you must submit your completed application to McAuley by July 12, 2017. McAuley High School must submit your application to the state on your behalf by the state’s deadline (July 30, 2017). It is important that you submit your completed application to McAuley by July 12 so that we have ample time to complete the application process and submit it to the state by the June 30 deadline. Decisions regarding Ed Choice vouchers are typically made in August.

Additionally, students applying for Ed Choice must have already completed the admissions process and be a student enrolled in the school. The admissions process consists of the High School Placement Test, completion of an application and records release, McAuley’s receipt of student’s records, and a meeting with the admission team if applicable.

Jon Peterson Scholarship - The Jon Peterson Scholarship deadline was April 17, 2017. Please contact Maria Schweikert, Director of Admissions, at (513) 681-1800 x2272 to discuss your options at this point.
