Welcome to McAuley
Dear McAuley Parents:
I am Dan Minelli, the principal of McAuley High School. It is my distinct privilege to serve this wonderful community. I am profoundly aware of the rich history and tradition of this wonderful school. I am deeply humbled by the great work that has been carried on for the past 54 years, a work begun by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas and continued today through the faith-filled commitment of remarkable and dedicated lay faculty and staff.
We, as a community, are graced by God’s presence through every young woman who enters our halls, classrooms, gym, theater, and fields. We are the inheritors of a Mission that both animates and motivates all of us to continue to build God’s Kingdom by empowering faith-filled women leaders for the future.
I am energized by the challenges and opportunities that lie before us. I feel very much at home here at McAuley. One of my deepest hopes is that you and your daughter will feel equally at home. No school is a perfect place; however, McAuley is a Graced place. I sincerely hope that as you consider a high school for your daughter, you will look carefully at all that McAuley has to offer.
Please know that I have chosen to be here because I firmly believe I have been called to be here. I hope that you will reflect upon God’s call for your daughter. It may well be that she is called to be a woman of McAuley. In all things, I will continue to ask myself, all of our faculty and staff, and each of you this same question: Is what I am doing in the best interest of the young women of McAuley High School?
It is evident to me that the parent community of McAuley High School is supportive and actively involved in the ongoing work of educating all of the young women of McAuley. I look forward to meeting all of you. If I can be of any assistance as you consider a high school for your daughter, please contact me at email@example.com.
Please know that a part of my regular prayer is for the growth and empowerment of your daughter in mind, body and spirit so that she may fully become the confident young woman that God has called her to be.
