Academic Levels, Communities & Courses
Core courses at McAuley are offered at four academic levels:
- Advanced College Preparatory I
- Advanced College Preparatory 2
- College Preparatory
McAuley also offers Advanced Placement classes and Dual Credit courses. Academic Support Services are also offered for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and those needing additional support.
McAuley has recently restructured departments into four Communities in order to foster greater professional collaboration within the building. The four Communities (Humanities, Liberal Arts, Mind & Spirit, and S.T.E.M.) will be led by Pulse, a seven-member team of administrators and faculty members.
Our new structure moves McAuley into the future, not just in the area of academics, but more comprehensively as a school and school community. It also utilizes the ideas of professional communities; maximizes the reach of teachers beyond academics to the education of the whole person; and creates a leadership uniquely positioned to focus on overall school improvement beyond the five-year rotation of accreditation.
