Financial Assistance
FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2010-2011
Financial aid is available through McAuley High School’s Educational Aid Fund. Families who wish to apply for McAuley financial aid need only to complete the Private School Aid Service application form. McAuley will use the PSAS form as the basis for distributing aid from the high school. McAuley funds are provided by the Sisters of Mercy, the McAuley endowment fund, memorials, private donations, the annual McAuley McAuction, and the annual fund drive.
FOR INCOMING 9TH GRADERS ONLY
An early application exclusively for incoming 9th graders will be available at McAuley’s Open House on October 3. This early application must be completed and sent to PSAS. Incoming 9th graders’ families may also download a pdf version of the form at McAuley’s web site. The documentation, as well as $21 payment, must then be mailed to PSAS by November 16.
Please choose to complete the form electronically and print a copy for mailing OR print it and complete it manually. Mail the completed form with your payment of $21 to PSAS, P.O. Box 770728, Lakewood, OH 44107-0034
McAuley also offers incoming 9th graders scholarships based on the High School Entrance Test administered in November.
FOR ALL STUDENTS
The application must be received by PSAS by March 1. This deadline is concurrent with the Archdiocesan deadline and is adhered to strictly in order that recipients of the grants can be notified in May. Late applications cannot be considered. A $21.00 processing fee must accompany the application. Applications will be available from the business office during the months of January and February. Families may also download a pdf version of the form at McAuley’s web site. This form will be available in early January. The documentation, as well as $21 payment, must then be mailed to PSAS.

In addition to the grants mentioned above, McAuley has a work credit program in which students stay after school for one hour each day to clean rooms. There is also a summer work credit program in which students can work for one week. In either case, tuition is credited $8.00 per hour worked. A Multiple Child Allowance provides a tuition discount for families with at least three students in archdiocesan high schools. For this current school year, the discount is $1175 for each of three students and $1375 for each of four or more students. Application is made through the tuition payment plan worksheet which is mailed in March and is due to McAuley by April 20.
FOR CURRENT STUDENTS
Student Council offers financial assistance to current freshmen, sophomores and juniors. A student need not be a member of student council to qualify. These grants are based on service to and involvement in McAuley activities. Application forms for these funds are separate from and in addition to the Archdiocesan/McAuley High School application form mentioned above. Applications are available from the business office on March 16 and are due by April 23.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE ON THIS WEBSITE, UNDER ADMISSIONS.
