Train for the Flying Pig!
McAuley is once again hosting a training program for anyone interested in running or walking a Flying Pig race May 6-7. Join here!
Training is for all levels (beginner to experienced) but we will start with a 3-mile run/walk and increase mileage each week. The group runs/walks leave from McAuley each Saturday morning at 8 a.m. starting on January 14. You should be comfortable completing 3 miles at the start of the training but don't worry if you haven't done this many miles before! Our program lasts for 17 weeks which allows for a slow progression to avoid injury and retain participants. Our focus will be on training for the half marathon and the full marathon relay.

The cost is $35 and is due before the first training session on January 14. You will receive a free McAuley team shirt as well as other benefits.
You will also qualify for a discount code for all Flying Pig races (10k, half marathon, full marathon, relay). We welcome parents, students, alums, and you don’t have to be affiliated with McAuley. Encourage your friends and family to join!

McAuley is an official Flying Pig partner charity so you can designate a portion of your registration fee to go to McAuley.
***Not running/walking but still want to participate?
We will also need at least 50 volunteers during the half marathon on May 7, 2017! Cheer on runners and walkers at mile 12.5 of the Flying Pig half marathon while helping to raise money for McAuley. You will receive a free t-shirt and it's a great way to see runners and walkers on the course right before they finish! More information will be available in March 2017.
