Tuition, Financial Aid & Scholarships
Everyone at McAuley High School appreciates the sacrifices made to acquire a Catholic education. Tuition for the 2017-18 school year is $11,275 plus $600 for the Tablet PC fee. McAuley awards as many scholarships and as much financial assistance as our funds allow. The financial possibilities include scholarships, grants, tuition assistance, and the student work program.
Option 1: High School Placement Test (HSPT) Scholarships
As a partner school of MECC (Mercy Education Collaborative of Cincinnati), McAuley and Mother of Mercy Schools base all academic scholarship awards on High School Placement Test scores. Incoming freshmen will be eligible for consideration for a scholarship depending on their HSPT score. Scholarship values vary based on HSPT score results. Scholarship recipients are also invited to attend a special dinner in January to recognize their achievement. Scholarship announcements will be made in coordination with acceptance letters in mid-January.
Option 2: McAuley Accepts the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship
Some students are eligible for the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship based on the rating of your designated public school and other factors. To determine your eligibility, visit the EdChoice website.
Option 3: Apply for Tuition Assistance
Financial assistance is available through McAuley High School's Educational Aid Fund. Families who wish to apply for McAuley financial assistance must complete and submit a FACTS financial aid application. There is a one-time, non-refundable fee of $28 to submit the FACTS application. FACTS is an independent service used throughout the Archdiocese to determine financial need. McAuley will use the FACTS form as the basis for distributing assistance from the high school. McAuley funds are provided by the Sisters of Mercy, the McAuley endowment fund, memorials, private donations, McAuction, and the McAuley Fund.
Option 4: Work Credit Program
In addition to the grants mentioned above, McAuley offers an after school work credit program. (Parents, click HERE for a letter with more information.) The administration of this program complies with Department of Labor regulations. All monies earned by the student must be processed through McAuley's payroll. Students will be paid $8.15 per hour (Ohio's minimum wage.) You must have completed the FACTS Financial Aid application to be eligible for this program. In order to set up your daughter on our payroll as a student worker, the following forms must be completed:
McAuley also offers a summer work credit program in which students can work for one week. FACTS financial aid application is required.
Option 5: Arrange a Tuition Payment Plan
Three methods of tuition payment are available for the 2017-2018 school year:
1. Pay the entire balance to McAuley High School by June 5, 2017.
2. Pay the amount of cash of your choosing by June 5, 2017, and finance the balance. All students accepted by McAuley are automatically accepted by the bank for financing, if that method of payment is chosen. No credit checks are performed. Interest is charged on amounts financed. The interest rate for the 2017-18 year is 4.35% simple interest. Payment on the amount financed is made directly to FACTS Management in 11 equal monthly installments from July 1 to May 1. You can sign up for a payment plan through FACTS Management here.
3. Finance all but the tablet fee. FACTS Management is utilized for any deferred payment of tuition.
Multiple Child Allowance
A Multiple Child Allowance provides a tuition discount for families with at least three students in archdiocesan high schools. Application is made through the tuition payment plan worksheet which is mailed in March and is due to McAuley by the end of April.
